Connor James Traut currently serves as Vice President of the Centralia School District. Traut was elected at-large in November 2014 to the nonpartisan board as the top vote-getter in a five candidate race, and was appointed President from December 2015 till December 2016. He previously served as a judge-appointed Commissioner on the Orange County Juvenile Justice Commission from January 2014 till April 2016.
Traut was born April 18, 1994 in Anaheim. He began his career in local government as an Eagle Scout having founded the Teen Leadership Council, a youth civic advisory council, and served as the organization’s President for two years.
Traut later was appointed to the Board of Directors for the Police Officers’ Honorary Association, Head Start, and the Arts Council. Traut additionally served as Board Member of the Community Development Advisory Committee and Chair of the Neighborhood Council. Traut currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Clubs, Cops for Kids, and The Eli Home Shelters for Abused Children.
Traut graduated from Chapman University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He is currently a Juris Doctor candidate at Chapman University Fowler School of Law, and works as a Law Clerk at the Traut Firm. He previously worked as a Judicial Law Clerk at the Orange County Superior Court. Traut’s father Eric is an attorney and mother Bonnie is an interior designer. He has two sisters, Jaclyn and Morgan. Traut and his fiancé Cheyenne have been in a relationship since 2011, and reside in their house in Buena Park with their goldendoodle Nova.
